The Aetna Individual Medicare annual certification process must be completed before you can market or sell Aetna Individual Medicare products during the Annual Election Period for January 1 effective dates and the rest of the year. 

**New agents: To help you achieve ready-to-sell status faster, we recommend you complete your certification before you submit your contract package to us.

Steps to Certify

  1. AHIP Medicare Training: Complete the five modules and pass the final exam with a score of 90% or higher (in three attempts)

  2. Aetna Core Training and Exam: http://AetnaMedicareProducerCertification.com
  3. Broker Attestations: Additional attestations will need to be completed for certain brokers. Market-specific training is available on Aetna’s certification site above. 
  4. MA/MAPD Overview Training and Exam: Training on individual products to satisfy additional CMS certification requirements.
