When a federal judge in Texas struck down the Affordable Care Act on Friday, it thrust the ACA into the spotlight yet again. But that does not mean the ACA is immediately null. The judge did not issue an injunction to stop federal officials from enforcing the law, and the case is “still moving through the courts” (it may well make its way to the Supreme Court) the CMS said in an email on Saturday. “The (ACA) is still open for business (and) there will be no impact to enrollees’ current coverage or their coverage in a 2019 plan.”
